Course Description
This specialty course teaches the basics of structure and function infant assessment during a virtual consult.
This course is designed for IBCLCs and birth professionals utilizing telehealth options for lactation consultations.
Structure and Function: Infant Assessment During a Virtual Consult will not only provide comprehensive resources and learning supports but will walk you through:
Needed technology
Taking a thorough history
Prioritizing your virtual consult
Overview of full-body assessment
How to assess the infant virtually
Communication and counseling skills
How to help your clients assist during the assessment process
How to use our proprietary ©SaFE form for documentation
What to do with the information learned during the virtual consult

This course is approximately 2 hours of instruction. Students will have 2 weeks access to complete the course.
There are no CERPs offered for this course. A Certificate of Completion will be emailed to students who complete the course and pass the quiz.
