Jaye retired from her private practice LC and speaking career in 2015 and did not renew her IBCLC credential.
Jaye continues to teach the Structure and Function program online, educating those who take the course on the importance of recognizing infant structure and function issues as early as possible.
Jewel Mohr, MEd, IBCLC
Jewel’s passion for breastfeeding began after the birth of her fraternal twin boys in 2007. Despite a high risk pregnancy, bed rest, preterm delivery, cesarean birth, delayed lactation, pumping, NICU babies, ongoing feeding complications, babies with sensory issues and developmental delays, she breastfed her twins for 13 months.
Jewel began her career in lactation, after having survived the first year as a mom of twins. She is forever grateful for the support from friends, family, breastfeeding support groups, and the professional lactation help of Jaye Haleryn.
In 2012, she reconnected with Jaye Haleryn, who became her IBCLC mentor.
In 2013, she became an Accredited Breastfeeding Counselor with Breastfeeding USA.
In 2014, she became a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist through Lactation Education Resources.
In May 2015, Jewel earned her Certification as a Lactation Consultant through UC San Diego Extension Lactation Consultant Pathway 2 Program.
In October 2015, she earned her credential as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).
Jewel is an IBCLC in private practice who specializes in supporting infants and families with complex lactation and feeding challenges. Jewel is the owner of Structure and Function Education. She enjoys speaking and teaching Infant Assessment Training courses online to students around the world.
